![]() The bow on the Audrey Skirt however,is not only whimsical but durable as it has survived 2 washes in the laundry so far without losing it’s shape. I adore details on garments such as bows but sometimes they get out of shape in the wash. ![]() Pinup Girl’s Audrey Skirt is just as flattering as my beloved, Ann Taylor skirt except it has a lot more volume which is super fun! It really is the perfect replacement. Fortunately for me, I recently came across the gorgeous Audrey Skirt in Navy by Pinup Girl Clothing at a local thrift store which I purchased mere minutes after laying eyes on it for $6.00!! For months I have been looking for it’s equivalent with no luck. It fit me perfectly and always flattered my figure regardless of my irritating weight fluctuations. It was from Ann Taylor, pleated, black and made of a sturdy eyelet fabric. Recently I was forced to throw away my favorite high waisted skirtbecuase the zipper broke and it was too old and faded to justify a repair. Thanks for stopping by the blog everyone! Follow us on Instagram here. The floral version is currently on sale check it out here. Pinup Girl Clothing may have already sold out of this navy version but they do have it in black as well as a floral print version and a gingham version. If you live in a colder climate I suggest wearing it with dark opaque tights a turtleneck and a pea coat. You could keep your look a bit conservative and work appropriate by pairing it with other dark colors like I did in these pics, or you could also give it a cute nautical spin with red and white separates and accessories. (I actually wore it once with a suimsuit, check out that post here.) The deep navy blue is also a very versatile color. These features also make it easy to pair the skirt with almost any top. It’s roomy and high waisted which in turn allows you to wear this skirt almost anywhere and be dressed up without the discomfort. I love versatility in a garment and this full, gathered skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing has it in spades.
